Why I’m Running
I'm running because I, myself, have been a member of multiple vulnerable communities, and want to represent oppressed groups, make meaningful change, and give my painful experiences a productive purpose.

I’m running for Congress because I am a mother to two young children, and am concerned about their public school education, their safety, and being able to afford food and activities so that they can thrive.

I’m running for Congress to stand up to misinformation, unlawful behavior, and oligarchy rule. Adhering to the constitution should NOT be a bipartisan issue.

I’m running for Congress to be a leader, to do politics differently and creatively, and to protect those populations that have been exploited and marginalized.
I’m running for Congress because I want to listen to you, elevate your voices, and fight for your concerns.
what I will achieve
I will to hold accountable the politicians who are responsible for social injustice.
I will confront those who have taken advantage of their power. I will use my position to stop corrupt and self-serving politicians. I will ensure that all politicians respect the United States constitution.
I will to bring ethics back into politics.
I will not be bought. I will not be intimidated. I will not let hate divide us.
I will to advocate for those who can’t.
I’m listening to your concerns, and bringing them forward to those who refuse to listen. I’m advocating for human rights, reproductive equality, and protecting our environment from irreversible harm.

My contributions to the community

As a social worker and researcher for 21 years in the District 13 community, I am aware of the social problems in our district. I have a strong relationship with multiple community agencies, and I understand the impact policy directly has on our most vulnerable. I am trained to identify the issue, work with the target population, find a solution, and advocate for change.
